Magic keep winning
The Magic won their seventh game on the road this season by beating the New Orleans Hornets last night. The Magic now stand at 10-2, the first team in the NBA to reach 10 victories this season.

Magic win, clinch playoff spot
The Magic blew a 20 point lead late in the fourth, but managed to hang on to beat the Boston Celtics. With the Indiana loss and a Magic win, the Magic are now guaranteed a playoff spot. Hopefully, the team will get their act together and make something of it.
Magic find another way to lose
Magic lose to the Toronto Raptors tonight. That's three games in the last week the Magic have blown. And that's enough for me. I'm done. Until management does something to improve this team, I'm done. No more season tickets. No more merchandise. No more games on TV. I would rather sit through reruns of American Idol, Season Two than watch another pathetic effort on the part of the Magic.
Magic at Boston
Unbelievable. The Magic lose to the Boston Celtics three times tonight as the game goes into double overtime. Nothing much to say here except that the Magic simply threw this game away.
Magic at New York
The Magic win two games in a row for the first time since February 2nd as they beat the New York Knicks, 94-89. Dwight Howard came up with two huge blocks in the last minute and Jameer Nelson tied the game and put the Magic ahead for good on back-to-back three pointers.
Magic vs Utah
We all read about the Magic talk before Tuesday's practice and Otis Smith's comments towards the entire team. So, how would the Magic respond tonight against the Jazz? Darko Milicic is out tonight with a sore back and Tony Battie returns to the starting lineup.

Magic at Charlotte
I'm simply at a loss of words. The Magic were happy to being playing Charlotte. This was a must win game to keep playoff hopes alive. The result? The Magic are now a full game behind the New York Knicks.
Magic at Houston
The Magic dropped their second game in a row, this time to the Houston Rockets, 103-92. The Magic were down by as many as 21 in this second untelevised game against the Rockets.
Magic vs Chicago
After an impressive win against the Bucks, the Magic lay an egg on national TV against the Chicago Bulls. The Bulls win by 24 points, 100-76.

Magic vs Milwaukee
Just when your convinced the Magic are headed to the lottery, they pull off a lopsided victory against the Bucks, 99-81. The Magic built off of the tempo they built off competing with the hottest team in the NBA, the Dallas Mavericks.

Magic vs Dallas
The Magic lose a close game to the leagues best team (record-wise), the Dallas Mavericks, 103-98. In my opinion, the Magic played their best game of the year tonight as every player got into the game and played hard.

Magic vs San Antonio
Dwight Howard slams home the game-winning shot with .2 seconds left in the game as the Orlando Magic beat the San Antonio Spurs. Jameer Nelson went nuts on the Spurs in the third quarter and tied the game at the end of the quarter with a three point shot.
Magic at Atlanta
The losing was so bad that Matt Goukas summed the evening in one sentence. Goukas at one point in the first half says, "Arroyo travels and Brian Hill has a headache." He was referring to the call on the floor after an obvious traveling violation by Carlos Arroyo and the camera switching to Brian Hill with his head pointed down and rubbing his forhead.

Magic at Cleveland
The Magic finally end the losing streak by beating the Cleveland Cavaliers, 80-79. The Magic did a better job getting the ball to Dwight Howard tonight. While Howard only had 10 field goal attempts on the night, the offense was consistent in working the ball in and out from Howard.

Magic at Phoenix
Another close game for the Magic. Tonight, they lose by only six to the high-scoring Phoenix Suns. The Magic were down by as many as 18 in the second half before putting together a solid run to close the gap late.
Magic at Los Angeles
The Magic fall to the Los Angeles Lakers in a very close game, 109-106. Grant Hill had a big game with 20 points, but the Magic couldn't ride the hot hand in the fourth. What also surprised me about the fourth quarter was the decision to keep Tony Battie off the floor

30 point. 25 rebounds. Dwight Howard leads the Magic to the first win on their four game road trip. Not much to complain about in this game.

Magic vs Charlotte
Dwight Howard for three as time expires in the second half. Trevor Ariza throws down a vicious dunk - somebody will need to stay late and scrape Okafor up off the floor. Simply put, the Magic were clicking well tonight and disposed of the Charlotte Bobcats rather easily tonight, 106-74. The Magic really poured it on in the fourth quarter.

Magic vs Clippers
Magic win a close game over the Clippers, 91-86. The score was close most of the game and the Magic tried to put it away in the final minutes but the Clippers made things difficult. Jameer Nelson had a huge game, scoring 29 points and dishing out 4 assists with only 1 turnover.

Magic vs Heat
The Magic picked up things tonight a bit and beat up on the Miami Heat 97-68. Even though the Magic lost last night, the team appeared to have a little swagger back. And tonight, they played well - especially in the second half.

The Magic seemed to play a little better tonight - but they are still having problems with consistent offensive execution and going through a rash of turnovers at the worst time. Washington pulls out a close one, 112-111.

Orlando vs Cleveland
Remember my post from the last game where I said I have never left a game before the final buzzer. I was very close to leaving tonight but ended up staying after the sleeping pills wore off the Magic and the team showed up to play basketball.

Orlando at Charlotte
When you think things can't get any worse, the Magic seem to find a way to make you turn off the TV with 2 minutes to go. For the record, I've never, ever, left a Magic game before the final buzzer. I don't care if the team is up by 40, down by 5 or being blown out by 30. I do care if the team is putting effort and energy into team basketball.

Magic vs Toronto
More of the same as the Magic lose to the Toronto Raptors without Chris Bosh, 91-84. Dwight Howard finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds. Carlos Arroyo scored 22 points on a decent game filling in for the injured Jameer Nelson. Ten assists, fifteen turnovers and just under 38% shooting won't win you many games.
Magic vs Phoenix
The Magic stayed with Phoenix in the first half, but could not buy a basket in the third as they lose a tough game to the Suns, 103-89. Grant Hill was playing exceptional early on - but the team started in another direction and limited his overall effectiveness.

Magic vs Detroit
The Magic lose a close one tonight to the Detroit Pistons, 87-83. Dwight Howard had a quiet first half, but still managed a decent game overall. Howard finished with 25 points and 10 rebounds but got little help from his Magic teammates. Trevor Ariza played fairly hard and finished with 10 points. Grant Hill posted 12 points against his former team.

Magic at Indiana
If you had to ask the one thing the Magic did right in tonight's game, I'd honestly have to say that it was getting J.J. Redick minutes on the floor. Dwight Howard and the rest of the Magic got pounded on the boards tonight by a smaller team.

A great late minute defensive play by Grant Hill helped to steady the Magic down the stretch. And Jameer Nelson nails a three pointer from Los Angeles with 1.7 seconds left to win the game for the Magic.

The Magic looked a little sluggish tonight as they lose by a landslide to the Los Angeles Clippers, 116-91. Suprisingly, Dwight Howard was practically a no-show. I really thought he'd go at fellow Team USA member Elton Brand.

Another road game, another victory for the Orlando Magic. The Magic came out a little flat in the first quarter and got behind early however, they finish the game strong and beat the Seattle SuperSonics, 94-84. Man am I proud of these guys.

Call me crazy or blinded with dedication - but I thought the Magic would handle the Jazz pretty much the way they did tonight. Magic put on a good show in front of the Utah crowd and hand the Jazz their first loss at home this year, winning 88-75.

The Magic improve to 6-3 as they pull out a close win over the Denver Nuggets, 108-99. Keyon Dooling and the rest of the Magic bench played exceptionally well tonight.

The Magic started the new season with a bang as they beat up on Chicago 109-94. The night before, Chicago embarrassed the Miami Heat. The "Daily Double" Dwight Howard led the way, scoring 27 points and grabbing 11 rebounds.

Preseason - Magic vs Memphis
Magic beatup on the injured Grizzlies, 112-89, in a game that wasn't even close from the beginning. Pat Garrity plays well tonight, dropping 18 points on the Griz. Dwight Howard has 15 points and 8 rebounds as the projected starting 5 played together tonight.

Preseason - Magic at Atlanta
Magic take revenge in Birmingham on the Hawks, beating them by 21, 109-88. The Magic were in control the entire game. Dwight Howard, The Daily Double, posted another double-double in the preseason - scoring 20 points and picking 16 rebounds.
Preseason - Magic vs Atlanta
The Orlando Magic lose their first game of the preseason to the Atlanta Hawks, at home, 100-96. The game was close all game long, with the Magic up for the majority. The Hawks had a big fourth quarter to pull out the win.
Preseason - Magic at San Antonio
Travis Diener makes good use of his playing time and leads the Magic to a 92-87 victory over the San Antonio Spurs. Diener finished with 23 points, 7 assists and 4 rebounds
Preseason - Magic at New Orleans
The Magic win the second game of the preseason against the New Orleans Hornets, 100-85. Dwight Howard continues to show improvement in his game, leading the team to victory.
Preseason - Magic at Charlotte
The Orlando Magic, led by Dwight Howard aka The Daily Double, beat the Charlotte Bobcats, 109-90. Howard starts off the preseason with a double-double, scoring 18 points and 10 rebounds.

In one of the loudest games I have been to in awhile, the Magic lose a tough one to the Chicago Bulls in overtime, 116-12. The Bulls just had all the little things go there way tonight. They played aggressive and energetic. The win was a good momentum builder for the Bulls as the beat one of the hottest teams in the NBA right now.

Make it eight in a row as the Magic refuse to give up in the chase for that final playoff spot. Dwight Howard had his breakout game tonight with 28 points and 26 rebounds. Breakout game you ask? Yes. This was a different Dwight Howard tonight. Jameer Nelson had a big first half but was quite in the second half until he knocked down a big shot to put the Magic up for good.

Make that five in a row overall and ten in a row at home. Atlanta makes a run in the fourth quarter, but the Magic pour it on down the stretch and whip the Hawks, 105-88. Dwight Howard had a monsterous game with 20 points, 16 rebounds and 6 assists. Jameer Nelson continues his return to form as he contributes 17 points and 6 assists.

The Dallas Mavericks came into Orlando losing two straight and having not lost three in a row all year. Well, the Magic helped them out with that one. The Magic convincingly beat the Mavericks 108-99 after leading by as many as 18 points.

After a couple good wins, the Magic relax a little and lose a tough game to Minnesota, 103-91. Kevin Garnett did his usual thing and posted 27 points and 19 rebounds. Dwight Howard followed closely behind with 15 points and 12 rebounds.

Going into the fourth quarter, the Magic had a different look about them. There wasn't desperation on their faces. They didn't look like a group of young players looking for an identity. The Magic looked like a team that believed they could win a game. Any game. And tonight, it was at the expense of the Chicago Bulls. Hedo Turkoglu calmly received the ball from Jammer Nelson, dribbled left to avoid a flying defender and promptly sank a jump shot to put the Magic up for good. There was no hesitation in the move at all. It was one fluid movement - like the team rehearsed that play over and over again....

I don't know fans, the Magic don't look very good without Grant Hill. THe Magic lose another stinker to the Miami Heat, 104-90. Other than the first few minutes of the game, the Magic posed no serious threat for the Heat the entire night. Though I have listened to the games on the radio this year, this was everyone's first opportunity to see the Magic on TV.

The Magic did just about everything they could to give this game away. Steve Francis was a turnover machine tonight, ending the night with 8. The team commits 24 turnovers total while dishing out only 13 assists on 35 field goals. Francis spent a lot of time with the ball tonight and the results show. Magic lose a sloppy game to the Kings, 105-94.

After a day off, I really thought the Magic would come into this game rested and ready to compete. Well, half the team forgot to show up. The Nets blast the Magic, 98-82 on a long Sunday night. The game was pretty painful to watch throughout. The Nets really didn't play all that well, but the Magic sure did not take advantage.

I believe. I believe. What a great game to start the season off with. The entire team played great tonight. Dwight Howard had a monsterous jam on a breakaway. This kid can flat out jump. Steve Francis had a couple dunks tonight as well, but one in particular sticks out. Somewhere in the third, he flat out jumped over the defensive player and dunked the ball. With the Bucks up 90-89, Grant Hill hit a short jumper to put the Magic up by one. Bucks came down, and Michael Redd hit a lucky bank shot to put the Bucks up by 1 with about 3 seconds to go.
