It's Playoff Time!

Finally, everyone is back to 0-0. This is the postseason and the Magic are in it for the first time since a guy named McGrady was on our team. I have to admit, it's been a little hard for me to get excited about the Magic playing Detroit in the first round. In fact, I really have not been excited about watching the Magic since January. Until now. I was just flipping through the channels while eating lunch and caught the beginning of the Raptors-Nets first game. Then it hit me. We're in the playoffs baby!

Does it really matter how many games we win or lose in this year's playoff? Or any year for that matter? Sure, I want the Magic to win a championship as much as anyone. But the fact that we're back in the playoffs is huge. I forgot what it was like. I forgot the anticipation of every game. I forgot the intensity of the crowd for every single play. I'm not a huge basketball fan. I am a huge Magic fan. I don't watch college basketball and I rarely watch other teams play. And other than maybe catching a finals game or two, I don't watch the playoffs unless the Magic are in it. So, for the last few years I have been without the playoffs. I've forgotten how it feels.

But I'm ready now. Today is game day. I'm as ready for the playoffs as anyone else. The excitement is back in this house. No more channel flipping during the Magic game for me. Although the playoffs is still not enough for me to renew my season tickets, I am definitely excited about the Magic playing in the playoffs. So, everyone, give me your thoughts on the Magic's chances for winning against Detroit and even possibly moving into the second round.

Let's go MAGIC!
