The Magic made another move in solidifying their young core of players today by resigning forward Trevor Ariza. He was acquired from the New York Knicks last year in a trade involving the contract of Penny Hardaway and Steve Francis. Ariza became a fan favorite towards the end of the 2006 season with his energy and attention to defense. There was concern the Magic might not be able to match offers for Ariza, but they were able to resign the forward – keeping intact a group that finished the season strong.

I am so thrilled to see that the Magic resigned Trevor Ariza. He is a young player with a lot of talent. He is going to be big in the future. Trevor can play either shooting guard or small forward. If G.Hill ends up not playing, he'll be a big key off the bench backing up Hedo. If Hill returns I don't know, not sure how he can get much minutes. Our 2 guard position is pretty cramped with Bogans,Redick, possibly Dooling. Either way he has a lot of potential and is gunna be a very good player some day.
