There is a nice article in today's Orlando Sentinel about the lack of faith in the Magic management. I would have to say that I pretty much agree with everything in the article except the John Weisbrod experiment being a failure. I believe we had our best offseason last year by trading Tracy McGrady (and the other stiffs) and landing Steve Francis, Hedo Turkoglu and Jameer Nelson (Dwight Howard was a given at the #1 pick).
So far, this offseason - we have had a miserable time. We essentially end up with a couple hopefuls from the draft and so far, no real hot rumors as to who the Magic are interested in or who may get traded from the team.
Anyhow, here is the link - it's a good read:

I think people, media are bashing the Magic unfairly. Afterall, the team has been in the playoffs eight times over the last 12 years...The team has had a 500 or better record 11 out of the last 13 years....The media just hasn't seen Vazquez play, so they kill the team. Seems a bit unfair to me.
Good moves: trading T-MAC, drafting Howard and Nelson.
Bad moves: trading Mobley, while keeping Francis; drafting Vazquez.
After watching videos of Vazquez, I can safely say that he was a terrible pick who may have even fallen to the second round. He looked very average against less athletic competition and his size isn't anything out of the ordinary either. And a team just can't win with Francis on the floor.
please sell the team!!!!Its very obvious that we cannot develop talent. We also can't keep talent and we make horrible decisions. Please put us fans out of our misery.
All the Magic need is a new owner, who isn't cheap. Weisbrod was close to signing Flip Saunders, who is a far better coach than Brian Hill, but Mr. Billionaire, Rich Devos and Co. didn't want to pay him in the range of 6 Million. We traded away the pick and bo outlaw, the pick could've been and probably would've been Amare Stoudamire. But no, they want to be a little bit under the cap so they don't have to pay luxury tax at all. What do they want? To win or to save money. I can probably tell you why the Arena isn't getting started as of yet. It's because the Magic are probably putting in less than 20-30 million for the new arena. I think they should put in at least 50-60 to make it work.
Look Orlando: Perfect getting rid of your G.M. Who ever says trading T-Mac was a good idea, Screw u man. THe man is already a legend if u really think about it. 62 pionts, 55 pionts. Tracy is amazing. He had 2 season highs in one season. who in the NBA today has a higher carrer high than the one and only T-mac. Now every one was talking about Isiah Tomas was he cored 16 pints in 95 seconds. WOW. Tracy McGrady 13 points in 35 seconts what is better. U know,T-Mac. 8 three point shots made in a half. Who does that. He's a monster. 13 ponts 35 seconds, 8 treys in a half. Do you know a team in the NBA today that can do that now. I'm afraid NOT. But when u say 13 pionts in 35 seconds thats amazing, but when u say he does it to San Antonio. 1st or 2nd defencive team in the league behind Detroit. Thats even more amazing. Listen T-mac is better than Kobe. Everyone says Kobe is better than T-Mac because he has three championship rings, while McGrady has none. T-Mac never in his carrer had a beast like Shaq. Kobe did. Plus, Did Kobe ever get finals MVP. NO. T-Mac would have taken finals MVP atleast 1 of 3 times. AND YOU KNOW IT. I could have understood T-Mac for Steve Fancis, and Cuttino Mobley. But then Orlando's G>M had to create or even accept a trade like 4 for 3. T-mac,Tyrone Lue, Juwan Howard, and Recce Gaines, For Steve Francis, Cuttino and Kalvin Cato. Stupid deal. I mean STUPID DEAL. Then Orlando starts to win in the beginning of the season. WEll they do ok. Then another stupid trade comes along like Cuttino for Doug Cristie. Now look, Cuttino was doing a great job for Orlando and really helping Steve Francis get thoes assist. Then a trade for Cristie. Doug Christie could not score if his life was depended on it. But I have to admit he had defence. But so did Cuttino, but not as well as Doug. Cuttino lands in Sacromento scoring with the left hand with automatic pullups and stuff. What does Doug do. NOTHING. Then Orlando's G.M notices that Doug Christie was getting more he was worth for. Then they release or waive Doug. Now think Orlando what was the trade made for. NOTHING. Olando U need to stop making stupid trades or u will end up not going to the playoffs once again. Just get a new G.M and a better coach who will really take Orlando to the playoffs again. You need Tracy. Imagine. Jammer Nelson starting P.G. Ben Gorden is not the only rookie to score 30 points this season. T-Mac at the S.G position. Grant Hill at the S.F. Don't trade him!! Dwight Hard at the P.F and if your G.m was smart enough he will sign a worthy center. Good bye, I hpoe my favorite team (Orlando Magic) not only goes to the playoff but past the first round.
