Game notes - Clippers

Grant Hill has an All-Star night and drops 39 points on the Clippers as the Magic pick up the win, 99-94. Both Dwight Howard and Kelvin Cato fouled out of the game tonight, but the defense was improved. Howard finished with 9 points, 9 rebounds and 2 blocks. Kato picked up 8 points and 7 rebounds.

In the improved defensive effort, Doug Christie finally looked comfortable with his teammates and recorded 6 steals. It seemed as if Christie was a magnet for the ball - one pass almost hitting him in the face.

All around, the entire Magic team picked up the effort and intensity and kept the Clippers down. This Magic team is pretty good at finishing games, we just need to be in the game at the end. The last two games, they have done a decent job at controlling the opposing team and making big plays when they tried to make a run.

Good win before the All-Star break. With 30 games to go in the season, I hope this game was a sign of things to come. It's time to start preparing for the first round.
