Game Notes - New Jersey

Another blowout from the Nets. They really seem to be playing well this year and have our number. The Magic were without Tracy McGrady for the second straight game due to back spasms. Hopefully this is just precaution and he will play on Sunday. Z and Juwan Howard played some good minutes. Drew Gooden is just not playing to his potential this year. I am very disappointed with his performance this year, especially the past two months. Keith Bogans @ESPN" href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3746" target="_blank">Keith Bogans was a little on his numbers - but still played good defense. Each game - he does one little thing to impress me that much more.

I have to say Strickland needs the starting job. He is very good even with his wrinkley ass and has the size to compete with other point guards unlike 5'9 lue. I would even rather have Williams back him up because of his size and defense. Lue should be on his way out. I bring this up because Kidd dominated once again and he is just too big for Lue. Lue was definitely the wrong way to go for a starting point guard. Orlando 'stole' Strickland out of retirement and is still a talented player. I actually thought without Mcgrady that this team would learn to fight hard and play tough D but it didnt happen. Howard was playing the best he could and over the course of this year I have finally decided I was dead wrong about Gooden. Howard is the one they should keep and trade Gooden somewhere. Hill, T-mac and Howard would be a real nice lineup to have. Maybe Rod at the point and get a decent center for Gooden and Lue. Lets not forget we could have the #1 pick in the draft, adding yet another great player. Maybe the draft will bring the desired center.
