Poor defensive effort from the start. Drew Gooden had a monster game with 29 points and 11 rebounds. Two of our more energetic players did not play very much. Rod Stricland and Big 'Z' sat on the bench most of the game. I do like to see Keith Bogans @ESPN" href="http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/players/profile?statsId=3746" target="_blank">Keith Bogans get some playing time. Bogans brings energy and focus to the game but it did not help the Magic in the end. The team gave up too many easy points in the first half to overcome in the second half. They did trim the lead down to 2 points with about 2 minutes to go - but they ran out of steam and the shots stopped falling.

What is with this team and playing defense. They let one of the worst offensive teams shoot over 50% and score 112 points. Where is the passion? I live in NJ and the nets are my 3rd favorite team. I watch some games and Kenyon Martin is just awesome. He has so much passion and he strips the ball, blocks the shot and goes after the rebound very aggressively. Orlando needs to somehow get this guy or a guy like him to show them how to play defense and go after rebounds. When Grant Hill was here last year our defense was much better. On the perimeter he showed our guys how to defend by getting in their face and moving their hands around. T-mac has had glimpses of defensive prowess but often ends up concentrating on offense alone. He is 6-8, quick and has long arms which he could use to his advantage.
