The Magic are on the edge of tying the second longest losing streak in franchise history. Magic face Vince Carter and the Toronto Raptors tonight at 8pm. If the Magic play as well as they did on Wednesday and show a little more enthusiasm - then this will our breakout game. With Carter coming home though, this could still be a dangerous game.
Personally, I would expect a lineup change - Donnel Harvey replacing Gordan Giricek and Rod Strickland replacing Tyronn Lue. But, then again - I expected a lot of things this year.
Let's go Magic!!!

Tonight should be interesting. McGrady always gets up for games against Toronto and Vince. As a Raptor fan, this game makes me nervous - it's not like we're setting the world on fire with our play. I sure don't want to be the team that ends the losing streak - especially because it's always nice to beat T-Mac - no one forgives him up here. It's not that he left, that happens all the time - it's the way he did it. No honesty, no concern for the fans that supported and cheered him, and no class.
Well, he is starting to act the same way here. I hope it is just a part of growing up - afterall, he is still a kid for the most part. I guess we will see at the end of next season.
I'm not wishing the Toronto fans any bad luck; however, I would like to see the Magic win this one. They should have won the last one; and I think that loss can be placed directly on the T-Man's shoulders, as he is continuing to act as if he doesn't really want to play; but who knows with Rod Strickland's ability to 'see' the floor and most everyone watching McGrady, who knows what might happen!
Magic lost to Toronto. That's 15 straight losses. 1-15 season record. And with the upcoming schedule, this could get even worse. Their next couple games are against powerhouses, the Hornets, San Antonio and Dallas. This game was for the taking, and they didn't take it.
My non-technical take on last evening’s game with Toronto: (1) Drew Gooden, Steven Hunter and Tyronn Lue did not play well, to put it mildly! ...and (2) while Vince Carter was stepping up to the plate in the fourth quarter, Tracy McGrady took a step back! To put things into perspective, ‘high-percentage’ (McGrady’s adjective describing the likes of himself) players are supposed to ‘turn-it-up’ when the chips are down; and that’s exactly what Vince Carter did and Tracy McGrady did not do! After all is said and done, that's what fan’s pay to see; and that is what sorts the winners from the losers! That’s not to say... repeat... not to say that McGrady didn’t have a good game, he played well, and had decent percentages; just not excellent, and to the level he is being compensated for... motivate and lead – show and tell! I really believe that Tracy could have won the game in a manner similar to Vince’s effort; had he not chosen on at least one occasion to pass the ball to someone he felt ‘had-a-better-look’; and then we wouldn’t have ended up trying to miss that last free throw that just wouldn’t bounce off the back of the rim! The team does show spurts of excellence and hustle; but just not to the ‘level’ of million dollar performers! Somebody has to be running the plays on the floor, have the ability to ‘see’ the floor and know who’s hot and who’s not; the coach cannot do it from the sidelines; and so far, Tracy McGrady has either been unable or unwilling! I know that some of the players that are not performing to their potential are feeling bad; and they should for the money they are getting, but for the most part, bad management, which has been there for years and the effects of which have begun to show ‘again’, is causing the majority of their problems; which is primarily the mental process in regard to the game of basketball. Bad management decisions and good intentions sometimes take a while to affect the overall organization; and these same actions usually take inordinate amounts of time and energy to craft suitable solutions for; and that’s what the fans are for the most part waiting patiently for! I wish them (the team) luck in the next several games - for this situation was not entirely of their making, and we can only hope they are able to accomplish a turn-around upset for their own sakes - this could get ugly! I just hope we don’t see a ‘cut-and-run’ situation with either management or players; just step up to the plate and solve the problems, one by one!
