Whiners

New article on ESPN.com today about the NBA cracking down on whistle whiners. It appears that David Stern is finally tired of all the complaining after the calls. What took him so long? I've been tired of this for awhile now. So what, the call didn't go your way. No amount of complaining will change that call.

NBA players should take example from the way someone like Grant Hill handles a bad call. Discuss it with the referee when there is a break in action - but don't show him up. Honestly, it just makes the players look like a bunch of overpaid cry babies. If someone in my office threw their hands up and stomped their feet because of a bad decision I made - I'd fire them. If you don't agree with my decision, come speak to me about it and maybe we can work something out. If a ref makes a bad call, chances are he knows it. The fans are very vocal about bad calls and no calls versus good calls. Be a man about it and just mention it to the referee next time there is a break in action - and you are more likely to get the respect you're looking for.
