Dwight Howard has posted a video blog over on NBA.com. Check it out.
Magic guard Carlos Arroyo kept Puerto Rico close in the first quarter, but the depth of Team USA was too much as the Americans win 114-69. Arroyo finished with 16 points and 2 assists in 25 minutes of play. The big story of the night for Magic was Dwight Howard. Howard easily showed why he belongs on Team USA and why he is the future of the Magic franchise. In only 12 minutes of play, Howard pulled down 10 rebounds (double of any other player) and scored 5 points. Howard looked good in his first national team appearance with solid rebounding and a couple monster dunks. The next exhibition game will be Monday night, August 7th at 9:30pm on ESPN2. Team USA will be traveling to China today and playing the host on Monday night. They play Brazil the next day in a non-televized event - that is, unless you have NBA TV.
