Game notes - Magic at Lakers

Magic come out flat in the third quarter and end up losing another game, this time to the Lakers, 102-87. With 16 turnovers in the game and a lack of energy, the Magic just could not get enough going to take advantage of a late fourth quarter run. Carlos Arroyo, Darko Milicic and Grant Hill were the only ones who showed up tonight. It's a shame we couldn't get 2 more guys on the floor in the fourth to steal the game away from the Lakers.

Dwight Howard basicaly got outworked tonight. Add the fact the Magic were throwing the ball all over the court - and you just can't beat the Lakers that way. On a positive note, the two new players showed why they deserve 25-30 minutes a game. Milicic finished with 6 points, 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots. Arroyo added 12 points off the bench.

Trevor Ariza got a minute worth of time on the floor - at least - I think it was him. Pat Garrity had almost 16 minutes. In that 16 minutes, Garrity had only 2 points. I'll say this for the last time - anytime Garrity is on the floor and not knocking down shots - he is a liability to the team. I rather see Ariza pickup another 4-5 minutes - just to see what he can do.

Other than that - 11 missed free throws, 18 total turnovers, outrebounded and 46 points in the paint from the Lakers - hard to win games like that. Only positive from this game is that we don't have to play the Lakers again this season.
