Bye Bye Doug

As pretty much everyone in Orlando expected, the Magic waived Doug Christie today using the NBA's amnesty clause. The clause allows a team to waive a player in order to avoid paying the luxury tax on that player's salary. Christie will still be paid the $8.2 million this year that the Magic owe him.

The Magic officially signed Keyon Dooling to a three year, $10 million dollar contract today. Dooling spent last year in Maimi as a backup point guard. The signing of Dooling is to provide backup in the point guard and shooting guard rotations. Although Dooling is a decent backup guard, I have to really start questioning the Magic's gameplan.
