Magic are eating their spinach this week; they beat the Nets 105-81. Steve Francis and Jameer Nelson were just too much tonight for the Nets, as they combine for 48 points on 16 of 21 shooting and committed only 4 turnovers.
With the Magic playing as well as they have this past week, there isn't a whole lot to really complain about. The team is playing very hard and they want to win. You can see the change in their attitude and effort. When the other teams start to make a small run, they play harder.
Magic big men are playing more aggressive as of late. Kelvin Cato has definitely stepped us his game and Tony Battie has provided valuable minutes all year, but has really intensified as of late. Of course, we have that young man, Dwight Howard, out there really showing his stuff lately. Howard was quoted as saying, "We're going to the playoffs..." as he ran by the radio/tv announcers. While it might be a little soon to say we're a lock - I like the attitude.
Everything is going right, once again. Bench is playing card, Coach is substituting well and the starters on jumping on teams early in the 1st and 3rd quarters. Good all around effort.
Doug Christie missed his second consecutive game tonight with what is now being called, bone spurs in his left ankle.
