Game notes - Magic @ Kings

The Magic did just about everything they could to give this game away. Steve Francis was a turnover machine tonight, ending the night with 8. The team commits 24 turnovers total while dishing out only 13 assists on 35 field goals. Francis spent a lot of time with the ball tonight and the results show. Magic lose a sloppy game to the Kings, 105-94.

Grant Hill contributes a healthy 24 points tonight and Francis had 23 points. Dwight Howard was missing in action. I have absolutely no idea at how the Magic expect to win any game in which the Magic do not go to Howard consistently. He absolutely has to touch the ball just about every other time down the floor. Don't think I am asking Howard for 30 points or to shoot the ball every time he gets it - but you haved to open up the perimeter somehow.

Just an all-around ugly game. Magic made a small run at the end of the third - but they just couldn't keep from turning the ball over. I will have to give a credit to Kelvin Cato. I've been a little hard on him all year long - but he did manage to contribute solid minutes. Cato finished with 12 rebounds and 4 steals. He was very active on the perimiter while on defensive but was a no-show downlow.

Come on guys, let's get the ball in Jameer Nelsons' hands and Howard a few more touches. Move the ball, playh defense and for the love of god, box out on those rebounds.

Oh, look for Howard on the plays of the week. Howard had a tremendous block on an attempted dunk. One of the best blocks I have seen all year.
