Game notes - Hawks

Grant Hill's jumper rims out and the Magic lose a heartbreaker to the lowly Atlanta Hawks, 80-79. Dwight Howard put back an attempt by Steve Francis with less than a minute to go, but Antoine Walker made the go-ahead basket on the next trip down the floor. Although this was an exciting game to watch - it should have never been as close as it was.

The only bright spot, Howard posted a double-double with 16 points and 11 rebounds. Howard also swatted away 6 shots. Defense was ok, but the game was pretty ugly from the start. If the Magic had shot a little better offensively, they could have easily won this game.

Bench play tonight was dismal. Other than Jameer Nelson's normal spark off the bench, no one else showed up to help the team out tonight.

After two big-time wins against Washington, this game was a huge setback in momentum.
