Spurs game notes

Ah yes, huge win for the Magic tonight. The game was close all night long. The Magic were not really running the ball as much as they had. I am not sure if it was intentional or not, but it really felt like they slowed the pace down for this game. At the end of the game though, the Magic turned it on and put the game away.

Steve Francis was off in the first quarter and it was really the third quarter before he got things going. I think he only had 3 points by the second quarter but he finished with 29 points, 6 assists and 7 rebounds. Tony Battie had a big fourth quarter on the boards. Defense was the story of the night, Magic blocked 9 shots - without Kelvin Cato. Dwight Howard had 4 blocks but did not play the fourth quarter due to matchup problems.

Hedo Turkoglu provided a jolt off the bench with 16 points.?The entire bench contributed 26 points tonight and that was the difference in the game. San Antonio also shot miserably from the free throw line, missing about 4 or 5 gimmie techincal free throws.

Another small note, all game long I was wondering when Cuttino Mobley was going to show up. In the fourth, he showed up big time. He hit a jumper, a three and then had a dunk off a Steve-O alley-oop. Those shots down the stretch helped the Magic pull this one out.

Awwww!!! Great Game, wish I would have been there.

It was a great game and I was there. I just wish the crowd would get into the game earlier. There were quite a few Spurs fans - cheering for every little bs play. But, in the end - we're the ones still there at the end of the game. See you next year! hahaha.
