After the worst quarter of basketball this year, the Magic put together an amazing comeback to pull this one out. Tracy McGrady played one of his better games. Big 'Z' was huge in the second half. Drew Gooden, Shammond Williams and Donnell Harvey won this game for the Magic. Nothing more than pure hustle and pride.

Now, let's rattle off a 19 game winning streak. Let's go Magic!!!

FINALLY – the streak is broken!! After the wake-up call during the first quarter; and subsequent great offensive hustle by everyone who participated in this game, coupled with decent defensive play bore the fruit of victory – just as it usually does! I do believe even though he didn't have the points to match; that this was one of the greatest games that Tracy McGrady has played – he has finally demonstrated the old adage that good things usually happen when you take the ball to the basket and the total number of points an individual makes doesn't necessarily matter; but the timing of when you make them does! I believe this just might be the confidence builder the team needs – and the fans can finally get into the game again; which in-of-itself lends to a confidence-building factor for everyone. GREAT GAME!!

If you watched the whole game, there were two times McGrady threw his arms in the air to get the crowd going. We have not seen much of that this year. They really wanted this victory and they got it!!!

Good job Magic! I saw the score when the Suns had a double-digit lead and chalked up another L for the Magic. You'd imagine my surprise to see this blog entry! Hopefully this is the start for your boys and they'll be able to turn things around going forward.

Congrats, guys. Good to see Johnny Davis get over the hump.

i haven't been keepin up with the magic too much this year. it still baffles me tho why they struggled so much early on. lack of defense? chemistry? i guess it was a combination of things.

Everyone played hard but Gordan's perfect from outside the arc, inside the arc, and the free throw line was most impressive. If he plays more games like this he will be a very valuable player in this league and orlando will get more W's. As too the question why Orlando has struggled. Its a number of things really. Pat Garrity is out with his knee injury and that means we lose our best 3pt shooter and also one of the best in the NBA. Gordan Giricek was out 8 or 9 games with an injury and we didnt have our 2nd best shooter. 8 new people added to the team and the chemistry wasn't there. The team is meshing a little better now and Gordan is playing good basketball. Our bench right now is pretty good with Drew Gooden and Shammond Williams. For defense we have zaza and Donnel Harvey. As long as they continue to mesh and get use to each other we will see more wins and when Grant Hill is back we will see many wins and probably the best team in the east.

It all goes back to the shortened training camp. There was not enough time to prepare for the season. You can thank the union for that. Teams basically ended up with a week or so to train and vet's reporting even later. With the injuries to our team, vets reporting late and all the new rookies - it's amazing we won that first game.
