I'm done.
Here is a stat that is becoming all to familiar: Tracy McGrady - 0 points in the fourth quarter. Don't get me wrong - he didn't lose the game by himself - but he isn't exactly doing anything to win games either. No energy and no defense tonight.
How the hell can the Magic expect to make up any ground by losing to the Bulls then playing Indiana the next night?
Since the Magic are putting less than half effort into games, I will start doing my analysis just off the box scores. I won't watch the games anymore.
Drew Gooden / Juwan Howard combination is not working very well. At least, the Howard end is not working very well lately.
McGrady - 9/25, Gordan Giricek 3/16, Howard 5/16. You cannot win games shooting the ball like that - especially with not enough shots inside the paint . When the shots came in the paint, the Magic missed a lot of the easy ones.
I know what you mean!! All I heard last night was the "clank" of the rim sound..... T-Mac was just not there, it reminded me of Penny and that was scary!! I don't know what to think maybe they are thinking of xmas vacation already.
Your right on the money. I have almost given up hope for this current team. They have the talent just not the will. Our only chance is when Grant make his return to the lineup. These young players will finally get to see someone who will give it his all to get the rebound and defend someone and then go down the floor and make a good percentage of his shots. Being a good offensive player is built on confidence, both in yourself and in your team. If a team has a lot of confidence they will make there shots. With Hill, I bet there confidence will go way up. Right now Gooden is the man for this team. Dont get me wrong t-mac is awesome but he needs to build more confidence like he had against memphis and denver. But Gooden never gives up really. He is probably a better shot blocker then hunter now and definitely the best rebounder on the team. He struggled a little but now is starting to warm up and by end of season he prob will shoot 50%. Hopefully they can salvage a couple wins before Grant comes back, but winning a bunch of games now just seems unrealistic. For a little stats, Hill was shooting 65% last year and Mcgrady with Hill in the lineup was shooting 55%.
Orlando Sentinel is reporting that Davis and McGrady are calling out the players and the team is playing selfish. McGrady stated they are out to get their numbers instead of playing team ball.
