For the love of Grant Hill's ankle

I truly hope the Orlando Magic executives are keeping a close eye on the latest news regarding Grant Hill and ESPN. Rumor mill has it that Hill has interviewed for a position with ESPN to be an NBA analyst for the upcoming season. Granted it is supposedly for only one night a week during the season, but with the way things have gone - I would be to worried about him reinjuring the ankle flying back and forth.

My suggestion - sit his ass on the end of the bench until he can play. He should be with the team at all the home games and working to get back on the court - not out analyzing what other players are doing. If he wants to analyze games, I say give him a notebook and make him take notes during the Magic games. Afterwards, he can hop on home and watch game film to analyze where the team can make improvements until he is fit to play.

Season tickets

Finally - our season ticket package showed up in the mail this week. Actually, we decided on a ten game package because it can get difficult to make some of the games. We figured this to be the best way to get the games we really wanted while providing flexibility to pick up a few extra games during the season. I have been watching the Magic ever since they started and have been attending games for the past 5 years. Every year I learn one new trick on where to sit, what games to go to and how much I really enjoy basketball. I am really looking forward to the upcoming year and I am pretty sure my dad is too. Of course, he will probably skip the Indiana game - it can be painful to watch the snowbirds get tossed around. Though they did get lucky last year, well - at least Reggie showed up for the end of the game.

The Orlando Magic have signed another forward to the roster. Donnell Harvey will be joining the Magic and will probably be in a position to contribute some good minutes in the upcoming season. Given the right situation, Harvey could turn out to be a great rebounder on this team.

The Orlando Magic have added a few new players to the roster in time for training camp. Britton Johnsen (the guy who dunked on James), Ousman Cisse and Rick Apodaca have all joined the Magic. A few other players have also been invited to attend camp including John Crotty, Shammond Williams, Derreck Dial and Alton Ford.

According to the Orlando Sentinel, Pat Garrity might miss a training camp and a few preseason games. He has been recovering this summer from groin surgery and recently arthroscopic surgery on his right knee. It is the latest surgery that is causing problems and why he might miss part of training camp.
