Team USA takes another game and wins easily over home team Puerto Rico. Tracy McGrady was dressed for the game and early reports are that he did start. I guess someone out there is listening to my prayers. The final score was 91-65. Tracy McGrady finished with 6 points and 2 rebounds.
Team USA cruised to a victory over Canada 117-71 in the first game of the second round for the U.S. team. Tracy McGracy did not play because of a sore back. Allen Iverson led the way with a record breaking 28 points on 10-13 shooting, 7-8 from three point range. Next up, Argentina at 5pm on Tuesday, August 26th.
No need to be alarmed just yet - but there are reports that Tracy McGrady has hurt his back again. At this point it is unclear if it is the same area that has bothered him in the past or if it is even related. He did not play the second half of Game 4 in the first round and is not scheduled to play tonight in order to rest his back.
I'm sure that we all send T-Mac the best and hope this is a mild injury or no injury at all.
Seven players scored in double figures as Team USA rolled over the Virgin Islands 113-55. Tracy McGrady threw in 10 points in 13 minutes, along with 3 assists. He also shot 2 of 3 from the arc. Allen Iverson was the high scorer with 17 points and 4 assists.
Tracy McGrady is showing midseason form in FIBA qualifying tournament. On 7-10 shooting, McGrady racked up 17 points in 21 minutes. He was 3 of 4 from beyond the 3 point line. If he keeps this up, we could easily see a 35 point season average this year. For more information, check out the box scores and quotes from the game.
Just in, another strong performance by Team USA. Tracy McGrady led the way with 17 points including 3 treys in the third quarter. The final score was 117-73, marking the second straight time the USA team has scored 110 points or more. I will post a link to the box score as soon as it becomes available.
Tracy McGrady had a pretty solid game, as always. I like the fact that his shooting percentage was over .500. Here are the links to the game 1 information:

Just like expected, the US beat up on Brazil tonight, winning 110-76. While there are not any box scores or recaps available just yet - it appears they played pretty good defense, only allowing 8 points in the 3rd quarter. I will post an update on T-Mac's performance tomorrow morning.
Take it easy.
Not that anyone wanted it to happen - but Darrell Armstrong has been officially charged with the alleged crimes he committed a few weeks ago. I for one, wish this would just die down and go away. Having Darrell in our community for so long - this just seems so highly unlikely to me. Then again, that is what courts are for.
Is it time for training camp yet? Am I the only one who does not care much for pro football? Outside of the occasional Bucs game, pro football pretty much bores me. The NBA free agent "open season" has calmed down quite from the earlier action. I am still hoping for one last magic trick out of the hat for the upcoming season. I read somewhere that Tracy McGrady was quoted as wanting a more experienced point guard. I think he is right on target. I would have liked to see a little more experience in that position - but I think we have a good player to fill our point guard position. I would really like to see Reece fight for that starting position though.
